April 2016 Activities at Berlin Masjid

We have started a masjid Muslim match-up to help with the important work of bringing you half your deen and finding the right spouse – details to follow. If you would like to help – please e-mail me back.
SPECIAL EVENTS:
1. Saturday April 9th – 5:30pm to 7:30pm – Community pot-luck dinner – Refugee welcome dinner – Hear the tough struggles the refugees go through and how you can assist them.

2. Sunday April 17th – 2:00pm to 5:30pm – Youth Hangout – Springfest – An event to educate non-Muslim youth on Islam while having fun. This is an event particularly for high school youth.
3. Saturday April 23rd – 10am to 4pm MCCT/ING Youth Parent workshop – Empowering all of us in addressing Islamophobia and bullying – from our schools to the masjid. Being held at Berlin Masjid
Daily and weekly events:
Daily –  Join us for the daily prayers in congregation – Short Khathira with Imam Refai after Isha daily
Weekly
– Wednesday 6:30pm – New convert book club – ‘Being Muslim’ by Asad Tarsin with Mike Karpman
– Friday 6pm to 7:30pm – Youth evening – Umar bin Al-Khattab – documentary discussion- Imam Refai
– Friday Jumma khotba – 1pm to 1:40pm
– Saturday after Isha lecture – Seerah of the prophet with Imam Refai
Sunday School – 10:30am to Dhuhr Salat at 1:15pm – please pray Dhuhr Salat with your children when you pick them up! You will make them understand the importance of prayer in congregation.
Qur’an reading and memorization classes – Mondays and Thursday 6pm to 7:30pm $20 a month per student – coordinator Mukhtar Suleiman
Arabic classes every Saturday 9am to 11am – Beginner, intermediate and advanced classes with Sheikh Sami Shamma, Imam Refai and Sr. Ghoufran Alababidi. Study the language of the Qur’an so that you may better understand the word of Allah (SWT).

Berlin masjid fundraiser this Saturday – March 19th 5:30pm to 7:30pm

 Assalaamu-alaikum,
Masjid Fundraising banquet – ‘Recreating a Blessed Community’
Date: Saturday March 19th from 5:30pm to 8:00pm
Venue: Berlin Masjid
‘Whoever built a masjid (“Intending Allah’s Pleasure”), Allah would build for him a similar place in Paradise.’ Sahih Al-Bukhari. Remember a masjid is not a structure but all the activities that attract people to worship Allah. This is what we intend by recreating a blessed community.
It includes: empowering our youth, having visiting scholar programs, the Ansar programs for the refugees, standing up against oppression and helping the oppressed in Palestine and Syria, having a masjid that is welcoming to all. Let us tell you about this blessed community!
PLEASE JOIN US AT THE HOUSE OF ALLAH – AT HIS SERVICE!
Dinner will be served immediately after Salat-ul-Isha
