Eid ul Fitr will be on Sunday June 25th Takbir times will be at 7am, 9am and 11am. Please come early and park with consideration for all. There will be police and security for the morning prayer services as well as for the nights of Ramadan.
Last Ten Days/Nights of Ramadan
Assalaamu-alaikum,
In these last ten days and nights of Ramadan – the days of protection from hell-fire, I would like to update you on some important events:
********SAVE THE DATE – RAMADAN MASJID FUNDRAISER – SATURDAY – JUNE 17th – Catered dinner at the masjid. Please support our efforts to increase programming and purchase the adjoining property to the masjid. May Allah reward you generously for attending and supporting this worthy cause in this worthy and blessed month.
Please join us for daily Salat – Iqama times are Fajr (15 minutes after adhan), Dhuhr 1:30pm, Asr 5:30pm, Maghrib – sunset, Isha – immediatey after the Adhan. Tharaveeh will follow immediately after Isha salat. There is a short khatira after 8 raka’at of Tharaveeh. Witr will be after 20 raka’at.
Starting on Thursday June 15th (21st night of Ramadan) there will be a midnight lecture (around 12:30am) which will be 15 minutes after Tharaveeh ends and will last about 45 minutes to an hour Inshah-Allah.
On Friday the 16th of June the 12:30 am lecture will be by Sheikh Abdulbary Yahya
There will also be Qiyam ul-layl which will start at 1:45am.
On Saturday June 18th 4:30pm to 7:30pm there will be a Qur’an Quiz competition. Youth 8 to 15 are welcome to participate.
Khatm-ul-Qur’an will be on the night of the 29th of Ramadan – Friday June 23rd. There will also be the awards for the Qur’an competition that night.
Eid will be on Sunday June 25th Inshah Allah.
The MCCT Eid carnival at Lake Compounce – will be on Sunday July 2nd from 11am to 9pm. $35 ticket includes parking and halal dinner buffet (4:30pm to 7:30pm). To purchase tickets go to:

What: A gathering to demonstrate “Loving thy Neighbor and Countering the Hate.”

In response to the rallies being planned by hate groups in our state and nation against Muslims, leaders from many faiths together with politicians and law enforcement will join together to express our solidarity in the face of the fear and hatred that is being spread.
We will gather at the Islamic Association of Greater Hartford (Berlin Mosque) – 1781 Berlin Turnpike, Berlin, CT at 5:30pm on Friday June 9, 2017. Let us live our faith and the call to “Love thy Neighbor,” in all our faiths.
“Action Together Connecticut,” is committed to upholding the ideals of equity, opportunity, and justice for all. We recognize that discrimination against any is discrimination against all; we stand proudly alongside our Muslim neighbors in Hartford and the rest of Connecticut.
We will stand together as one human family, proclaiming the sanctity and dignity of all of God’s creation and the loving, compassionate treatment we all deserve.
There will be a collection for refugees and the needy in the Greater Hartford area in the spirit of being a community that cares.

Second Ten Days of Ramadan – Days of Forgiveness

In these middle ten days of Ramadan – the days of forgiveness I would like to update you on some important events:
On Thursdays of Ramadan there will be special Hifz class for ladies in Urdu from 11am to 1pm – at the masjid. Memorizing will begin with Juz Amma
On Friday 9th of June at 5:30pm – Interfaith gathering and press conference to highlight the importance of working together against hate – from the London killings to hate groups in America that spread fear about Shariah. Let us live the universal golden rule of love thy neighbor. We will hear from politicians, law enforcement and faith leaders.
On Saturday 10th of June – Qur’an competition will be after Dhuhr (1:30pm).

In the last ten nights of Ramadan – there will be a one hour lecture after the completion of Tharaveeh (around 1am). The twentieth night of Tharaveeh will be on June 14th. Eid will be on Sunday June 25th Inshah Allah. Qatam-ul-Qur’an will be on the night of the 29th of Ramadan – Friday June 23rd.
