Eid Al-Adha announcement

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Assalamu Alykum,

The Islamic Association of Greater Hartford is pleased to confirm that Eid Al-Adha, the feast of Sacrifice will be on Friday September 1st inshallah.

The Hajj Authority of Saudi Arabia declared that the 1st day of Dhul- Hijjah, 1438 is Wednesday, August 23rd, 2017. The day of Arafah, which is the 9th day of Dhul- Hijjah, is on Thursday, August 31st.

The first 10 days of Dhul-Hijjah are the most important days of the year. Rewards of good deeds are multiplied in these days. May Allah (SWT) accept your deeds, fasting, reciting the Quran and remembering God’s bounties.

Eid Prayers:
Date: Friday, September 1st, 2017

Where: Islamic Association of Greater Hartford, Berlin, CT.

Times: There are three prayers: First: Takbeer: 7 am, Prayer: 7:30am

                                               Second: Takbeer: 9:00 am, Prayer: 9:30am

                                                Third: Takbeer: 11:00am, Prayer: 11:30am

Please note, it will be best to leave after the prayer and greeting one another to make room for those arriving for a later prayer.

Friday prayer will be as usual at 1:00pm- 1:45pm inshallah
