Eid Ul Adha Announcement

Dear brothers and sisters,

Today – Sunday the 12th of August has been announced as the 1st of Dhul Hijjah (after sighting of the new moon in Saudi Arabia last night)
The Day of Arafat will therefore be on Monday the 20th of August (highly recommended we fast on this day.
*****EID UL ADHA will be on Tuesday 21st of August
Takbeer times will be at 7am, 9am and 11am (Salat will follow half an hour after Takbeer times on Tuesday August 21st.
Remember this is the Eid of the sacrifice and therefore the masjid will accept Udhiya/Qurbani for distribution to the poor on Tuesday the 21st, Wednesday the 22nd and Thursday the 23rd from Maghrib to Isha times (ONLY AT THESE TIMES PLEASE) Bring your meat in 5 pound bags and label them “beef”, “lamb” or “goat”. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
These first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah are some of the greatest days in the Islamic calendar. Please use this opportunity to increase your acts of worship through increased recitation of the Qur’an, additional prayers and fasting. Most of all be the best person you can be!
