First 10 days of Dhul Hijjah:
These are the greatest days in the year!
Prophet Muhammad (Sal) said “There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah that these ten days” (Al Bukhari)
We are strongly encouraged to fast on the first nine days and in particular on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah or the day of Arafat!
The prophet (Sal) said “I used to fast the first 9 days of Dhul Hijjah” (Nisa’i)
The prophet (Sal) said “Fasting on the day of Arafat is an expiation for the preceding year and the following year” (Muslim)
Try to keep your tongues wet with zikr of Allah. Spend more time in contemplating the Qur’an.
Insha Allah:
The first of Dhul Hijjah will be on Wednesday July 22nd
The day of Arafat will be on Thursday the 30th of July.
The day of Eid will be on Friday the 31st of July
