33 on the Curv – CT’s First Ever Muslim Youth Center

The future of our ummah needs you!

Who will take on the torch after you?

Alhamdulillah! The Islamic Association of Greater Hartford has just purchased this new property as a new center for the youth. It is located on 33 Bishops Curv, Berlin, CT  hence the name 33 on the Curv. However, there is much furnishing that needs to be done before we can open up our doors to the public. Brothers and sisters, we need to think about what legacy we are leaving behind for those who come after us. The masjid needs a “third space” so that the younger people have somewhere to connect with their religion and build those ties of brotherhood and sisterhood that Islam teaches us. If these foundations are not developed, then these people will begin to question their faith and not have a strong connection with their religion or community.

What this building will feature:

This building has many rooms and lots of space that will be designated for a variety of purposes including but not limited to:

  • A lecture room for guest speakers and regular youth events
  • A library/study room
  • A cafe-style seating area/lounge
  • A digital media room/theater for video games and sports broadcasts
  • A meeting room for the masjid’s boards and committees
