Please join us for our monthly potluck dinner on Saturday January 14, 2023. Topic: Mental Health. Speaker: Dr. Javeed Sukhera, Chair of Psychiatry at the Institute of Living (IOL), and Chief of Psychiatry at Hartford Hospital. Program starts promptly after Maghreb prayer (4:45 pm). “Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur’an that you might understand.” We are pleased to reintroduce our Arabic Classes. Classes will be held online by Sr. Ghoufran Allababidi on a weekly basis on Sundays 7-9 am. Targeted at intermediate levels and ages 16+. Semester starts Jan 8th until May 7. Fee: $100 per semester. Sunday School – Sundays 10:30 to 1pm (No school 1/1/2023) 

Tuesdays – Between Maghrib to Isha – Divine discussions with Br. Ibrahim Kamara. (Geared towardsCollege and young professionals) – held in the new youth center (33 Bishop Curve)

Fridays 7:30 pm after Isha – Boys Halaqa by YM (Young Muslims – Berlin) geared towards ages 15-25 and held in the new youth center (33 Bishop Curve)

Sundays 7 am to 9 am – New online Arabic classes starting 1/8/23 with Sr. Ghoufran Allababidi

Sundays 10:45 am to 12:45 pm Quran Tafseer Halaqa in Urdu for Sisters with Srs. Uzma, Saima, Nasim and Azeem. Halaqa is held at the mezzanine.

Thursdays after Isha Salat (7:30pm), Khatira with Imam Faragali – Main Building

Saturday mornings youth and new Muslim tafsir class – After Fajr – high school and college students are welcome! This is a youth and revert/convert-oriented Quran tafsir class led by Dr. Reza Mansoor. Class is in person at the masjid and an online option is available

Qur’an classes Mondays and Thursdays – 6pm to 7:30pm. Contact Br. Mukhtar 860-966-8041 for details.

Daily – Join us for all 5 daily prayers in congregation with Imam Faragali.

Friday Jummah prayer service is from 1pm to 1:45pm

Weekly Online Arabic Classes Starting Jan 8, 2023

What: We are pleased to reintroduce our Arabic Classes. Classes will be held online by Sr. Ghoufran Allababidi

When: Weekly on Sundays 7-9 am. Semester starts Jan 8th until May 7.

Where: Online only for now

Who: Targeted at intermediate levels and ages 16+.

Fee: $100 per semester.

School Holiday Events at Berlin Mosque

Assalam Alaikum Brothers and Sisters,As schools go into the Holiday season, IAGH, along with MYAC (Muslim Youth Association of Connecticut) and YM (Young Muslims-Berlin) worked together on bringing you the following events alhamdulillah
Islamic Winter Camp
Four-day camp geared towards children 7-14 years old. Camp is from 9am-12 pm from Tuesday 12/27 – Friday 12/30. Fee: $75 per child. To register: https://bit.ly/iaghwintercamp

Young Muslims – Weekly
Weekly event geared for Boys 15 and up, managed by YM-Berlin Chapter and hosted by IAGH. It includes a halaqa tackling important topics facing young Muslim boys along with some fun and play time. Fridays after Isha 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm

Boys Qiyam Night POSTPONED- Geared for ages 12 and up. A night of education, ibada (worship), righteous companionship and fun. Starting at Isha 7:30 pm until after Fajr prayer 6:30 am. No sign-up necessary –

November 2022 IAGH Newsletter

Assalam Alaikum Dear Brothers and Sisters
 
Please join us in thanking Dr. Reza Mansoor for the tremendous contribution to our Association. Over the past 10 years of his presidency, the masjid (alhamdulillah first) has seen great growth in attendance and activities. We pray to Allah for his safe return from Umrah.
 
Please congratulate Sr. Vareesha Rahman on joining as an Associate Board member. Vareesha has been part of the IAGH community for 23 years. She was a student at the IAGH Sunday School and part of the Muslim Youth Association of CT. After graduating Sunday School, Vareesha continued to participate in the school by becoming a Sunday School Teacher. She graduated with her bachelors from UCONN in Human Development and Family Studies and completed her Masters at CCSU in Counseling Education and Mental Health. She pursued a career in School Counseling and works as an elementary school counselor in the Waterbury School District.
  
Also, please join us in dua for Imam Farghali who is visiting his ill family in Egypt. Inshallah, he will return on November 11.
 
Monthly Potluck – 11/19 featuring “33 on the Curv Open House”. This is our new Youth Center. Please join to tour the Center and meet the youth team behind its development.
