Preparing for Ramadan 2015 (1436 Hijri) – 1st of Sha’ban

Assalaamu-alaikum,
Tonight or tomorrow night will mark the 1st of Sha’ban bringing us one step closer to the beloved month of Ramadan.
The blessed companion Usama ibn Zaid , reports that he asked Prophet Muhammad : “Messenger of Allah, I have seen you fasting in the month of Shaban so frequently that I have never seen you fasting in any other month.” Prophet Muhammad , replied: “That (Shaban) is a month between Rajab and Ramadan which is neglected by many people. And it is a month in which an account of the deeds (of human beings) is presented before the Lord of the universe, so, I wish that my deeds be presented at a time when I am in a state of fasting.”
ISNA and the Fiqh Council of North America have declared:
1st day of Ramadan will be on Thursday the 18th of June (Tharaveeh on Wednesday night) 2015
Eid ul Fitr will be on Friday the 17th of July 2015
The masjid Ramadan fundraiser will be on 11th of July 2015 – mark your calendars and get the blessings of Ramadan and benefit yourself by helping the house of Allah

Reza
