Eid Ul Adha Announcement

Dear brothers and sisters,

Today – Sunday the 12th of August has been announced as the 1st of Dhul Hijjah (after sighting of the new moon in Saudi Arabia last night)

The Day of Arafat will therefore be on Monday the 20th of August (highly recommended we fast on this day.

*****EID UL ADHA will be on Tuesday 21st of August

Takbeer times will be at 7am, 9am and 11am (Salat will follow half an hour after Takbeer times on Tuesday August 21st.

Remember this is the Eid of the sacrifice and therefore the masjid will accept Udhiya/Qurbani for distribution to the poor on Tuesday the 21st, Wednesday the 22nd and Thursday the 23rd from Maghrib to Isha times (ONLY AT THESE TIMES PLEASE) Bring your meat in 5 pound bags and label them “beef”, “lamb” or “goat”. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

These first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah are some of the greatest days in the Islamic calendar. Please use this opportunity to increase your acts of worship through increased recitation of the Qur’an, additional prayers and fasting. Most of all be the best person you can be!

Eid Mubarak!

Praying that Allah (SWT) accept all your fasting, prayers, dua and good deeds in Ramadan:

These are the Takbir times for tomorrow:

7am, 9am and 11am and the prayers will follow half an hour after each of these times.

If you have not paid your Zakat-ul-Fitr (Fitrana) it is $10 per person per family.

Jumma Khotba will be at the roughly the same time (1pm first Adhan).

Berlin Masjid Fundraiser – Saturday June 9, 2018 6:30 pm

Dear brothers and sisters,

Please come and support our masjid fundraising efforts for the house of Allah in these last blessed days/nights of Ramadan

These funds will support

-acquiring the neighboring property – we are in negotiations with Germano fencing. We are looking to have an all purpose community hall and indoor basketball court in it Inshah-Allah

-programming efforts – for Imams, visiting scholars, youth activities

-payment of masjid utilities

-payment of staff/security

-maintenance costs

Last Days of Ramadan and Eid Information

Dear brothers and sisters here are the highlights of activities in the last half of Ramadan and with Eid related information:

Friday June 1st Jumma Salaat with Imam Hani Yusuf with fundraiser for helping hands to follow.

Friday June 1st at 6pm – Sisters only lecture by Dr. Fareeda “Strategies to protect my rewards in Ramadan”.

Saturday June 2nd – Qur’an competition – Immediately after Dhuhr Salat 1:30pm – Registration forms in the masjid.

Sunday June 3rd Sunday School graduation 10:30am

Monday June 4th – 21st night of Ramadan – Daily midnight lectures begin includes Imam Refai, Sheikh Muhammad Ghonaim, Sheikh Sami Shamma, Chaplain Omar Bajwa and Muhammad Jarrar

Wednesday June 6th – 23rd night of Ramadan

Friday June 8th – 25th night of Ramadan. Jumma Salat with Imam Refai and short masjid fundraiser for Berlin masjid immediately after Salat

Saturday June 9th – Berlin masjid fundraiser 6:30pm till Iftar – please donate to the house of Allah so that we can maintain programming, pay utilities and have a clean and peaceful environment to perform our ‘Ibada’. There will be a short fundraiser just prior to Tharaveeh

Sunday – June 10th – 27th night of Ramadan. Award ceremony for Qur’an competition.

Tuesday – June 12th – 29th night of Ramadan and ‘Qatam Al Qur’an’ with Sheikh Faraghali

Friday – June 15th – ***Eid Ul Fitr*** Eid Mubarak to all! Takbir times at Berlin masjid will be 7am, 9am and 11am. Salat times will be half an hour later. Please follow parking regulations

Ramadan Programs at Berlin Mosque

Assalaamu-alaikum,

Dear brothers and sisters – here is the schedule for programming in Ramadan:

1st night of Tharaveeh will be on Tuesday 15th of May:1st fast will be on Wednesday the 16th of May. There will be a short khatira after 8 raka’ath each night.

Baby sitting will be in the old masjid every night. Tharaveeh will be live telecast to the old masjid building. No children will be allowed in the main musalla area.

There will be a community Iftar every Friday and Saturday of Ramadan. Please sign up to support this program.

There will be a Ramadan ‘youth lecture’ every Saturday from 5:30pm till 7pm.

The youth center will be open after 4 raka’ath of Tharaveeh till 11:45pm every night.

Qur’an competition will be on June 2nd from Dhuhr to Asr- please see masjid notice board for competition rules. Award ceremony will be on June 11th

****Masjid Fundraiser – Saturday June 9th – 26th night of Ramadan****

Beginning the 21st night of Ramadan (4th of June there will be a midnight lecture ever night with local scholars leading this effort).

Katham – Al Qur’an will be on the 29th night of Ramadan – June 12th night

Eid Ul Fitr will be on the Friday the 15th of June Inshah Allah

(Eid carnival will be on Sunday June 17th – tickets can be purchased on line)

There will be ‘IAGH staff’ trying to make this a blessed month by helping keep the masjid clean and quiet – please support them so you make this a blessed Ramadan for all of us. STRICTLY NO FOOD IN THE MUSALLA AREA

(1) School registration will be conducted during the month of April and May, April 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29^th, May 13, 20 and 27^th inshAllah between 10:45am and 12:30pm.
