We strongly condemn the recent attack on Representative Maryam Khan during a religious holiday prayer. It violates human rights, equality, and democratic values. As Muslim community members, we offer support and solidarity to Representative Khan and her family. Acts of hate have no place in our society, and it’s our collective responsibility to stand against them. We urge all faith communities, elected officials, and law enforcement to denounce such acts, promote diversity, and foster a harmonious society. We’re ready to provide assistance and resources to support the victims and combat racism. Together, we can create meaningful change for a society of dignity and respect.

Fasting the day of Arafat (Tuesday) is highly recommended as well as fasting any number of the first 10 days of this month.

May Allah accept your udhya should you decide to perform one. If you would like to distribute meat to the needy through the masjid, we are accepting meat donations during the times of Fajr/Maghrib/Isha only. Krispy Kreme Donuts to Benefit YM (Young Muslims)
Berlin Mosque has been a host site for ICNA’s YM group. The group of youth meets every Friday evening and provides education and fun activities to the youth group. Support the group by purchasing a donut after Eid Prayer $1 or Pre-Order a Dozen for $10. All proceeds will go to benefit YM.

Zakat-ul-Fitr (Fitrana) Reminder
Please remember to make Zakat-ul-Fitr which is estimated around $10 per person on every member of the family including an unborn child. This is due before salat-ul-Eid. Berlin Mosque is collecting this in a special box (marked distinctly), or you can give it directly to someone in need.
Khatm Quran
Khatm Quran will be on Taraweeh on the 29th night of Ramadan inshallah. Babysitting is provided for children 4+ in Education Building during Taraweeh. Please consider a token of appreciation for Imam Sayed Farghaly’s well-done job in leading Taraweeh this year and place it in the box marked for Imam collection.

Last 10 Nights – Qiyam and Suhour
In the last 10 blessed nights, Imam Sayed Farghaly will lead Qiyam. This will be preceded by a midnight Halaqa and followed by a Suhour. Sign-up for providing Suhour is HERE. Imam fund collection box is set up during Taraweeh to accept your generous donations for the Imam.

Taraweeh Prayers
Daily after Isha’ starting Wednesday March 2023. Taraweeh will be lead by Imam Syed Farghali, may Allah reward him. Babysitting area will be in the education building (old mosque building) for children 8 and under accompanied by a parent. Taraweeh will be broadcasted there, Daily khatera will also be given by alternating speakers after the 4th rak’a insha’Allah. Please bring your reusable water bottle to stay hydrated!
Weekend Iftar at the Masjid

Ramadan is upon us inshallah and the first day is expected to be on March 23, 2023, therefore Taraweeh will start after Isha on March 22, 2023. May Allah accept your salat, siyam, zakat, duaa and sadaqa. We will share more information on Ramadan program as it gets closer to the month.
It was narrated that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: “Whoever gives food for a fasting person to break his fast, he will have a reward like theirs, without that detracting from their reward the slightest”. We will be hosting Iftar events on 6 nights in Ramadan inshallah. Each night requires iftar sponsorship by 5 people $500 each. Individuals may sponsor more than one slot.
